Investing for the future
Built to last
We invest in the people, technology, processes and infrastructure that keep our business ready for what’s next. It’s a long-term commitment, and it shapes every decision we make, across every site and every sector we serve.
Investing in
our people
Long-term resilience depends on the skills coming through our business as much as the technology on our shop floors. We invest in apprenticeships, structured training and early-career routes into engineering and manufacturing across our sites, building the pipeline that complex, precision industries depend on.
As demand grows across aerospace, defence, semiconductors and scientific markets, so does our commitment to developing the people who deliver it.
Investing in
our communities
Our commitment goes beyond our own workforce. We work with schools and local organisations across our regions to open up routes into engineering and manufacturing, helping young people understand the opportunities available in our industry.
It’s a long-term investment in the communities we operate in,
and in the future pipeline of skills our industry depends on
Investing in capability
We invest in the latest technology, automation and robotics to always be at the forefront of how our industry manufactures, building the resilience our customers depend on now and into the future.
From physically twinned manufacturing capability to ongoing innovation in how we machine and finish components, every investment is designed to keep us ready for what’s next. That includes a shift to Tartaric Sulphuric Anodising in place of hexavalent chrome, alongside a sustained focus on efficient, less carbon-intensive operation built on the latest manufacturing technology available.
Investing in energy
We’re playing our part in the energy transition, taking a more coordinated, long-term approach to how we manage energy across our sites.
On-site solar generation and battery storage are already in place, supported by Clear View energy monitoring and the latest, most efficient machinery across our operations, with further investment in renewable procurement planned.
Governance and accountability
Quality, safety and accountability are built into how we operate, governed by consistent, independently validated standards across every part of the business, including environmental performance.
We hold ISO 14001 environmental management certification and ISO 22301 business continuity accreditation, alongside Cyber Essentials Plus and recognised EcoVadis medal status, supporting alignment with evolving OEM expectations around environmental performance, governance and supply chain accountability.
