ASG Aerospace Celebrates Landmark Week at Record Farnborough International Airshow
Farnborough International Airshow 2026 concluded with record attendance, major commercial announcements and renewed confidence across the global aerospace and defence sector, providing an important platform for collaboration, investment and long-term growth throughout the international supply chain.
The five-day event welcomed 141,580 trade and public visitors from 136 countries, representing a 41 per cent increase on the previous show and almost double the attendance recorded in 2022. Commercial activity remained exceptionally strong, with deals exceeding $84.7 billion announced during the week, including 353 firm aircraft orders and 904 firm engine orders.
For ASG Aerospace, the event reflected the strength of a market increasingly focused on production readiness, resilient supply chains and long-term manufacturing partnerships.
Bringing together governments, OEMs, Tier One suppliers, technology companies, investors and emerging innovators, Farnborough demonstrated the industry's continued investment in advanced manufacturing, sustainable aviation, defence capability and future workforce development.
Innovation remained a defining feature throughout the exhibition. Vertical Aerospace completed the world's first public electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) flight at Farnborough, successfully transitioning between helicopter and aeroplane flight modes before returning to hover, while major announcements from Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Pratt & Whitney, LEAP, BAE Systems, MBDA and Anduril Industries highlighted continued investment across both commercial aerospace and defence programmes.
Alongside major programme announcements, the exhibition provided valuable opportunities for manufacturers throughout the supply chain to strengthen relationships, explore new collaborations and engage directly with decision-makers responsible for future aerospace programmes.
ASG Aerospace used the exhibition to unveil its new corporate identity and recently launched website, reflecting the Group's continued evolution as a vertically integrated manufacturing partner serving aerospace and defence customers across the UK and internationally.
The week also provided an opportunity to celebrate manufacturing excellence across the Group. During the exhibition, Rolls-Royce presented ASG Aerospace with its High Performing Supplier Group recognition, while three companies across the Group received SC21 awards, reinforcing the organisation's commitment to quality, delivery performance, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Simon Weston, Chief Executive Officer of ASG Aerospace, said:
"Farnborough is always one of the highlights of the aerospace calendar and this year's event demonstrated exactly why. There was a tremendous sense of confidence throughout the exhibition, with customers, partners and suppliers all focused on the opportunities ahead as production rates continue to increase across both civil aerospace and defence.
"It was particularly rewarding to launch our new ASG Aerospace brand and website during the show. They reflect the business we have become and the capabilities we continue to develop across the Group.
"The exhibition also gave us valuable time with many of our major customers, allowing us to strengthen existing relationships while exploring new opportunities. Receiving Rolls-Royce's High Performing Supplier Group recognition alongside three SC21 awards across the Group made the week especially memorable and recognised the dedication and expertise of colleagues throughout ASG Aerospace."
The industry's long-term outlook was further reinforced through Farnborough's Pioneers of Tomorrow programme, which sold out ahead of the event and welcomed thousands of young people to explore careers across aerospace, engineering and advanced manufacturing. Through employer engagement, live demonstrations and STEM activities, the initiative highlighted the importance of developing the next generation of engineering talent to support future industry growth.
As global aircraft production continues to increase and defence investment accelerates, Farnborough International Airshow once again demonstrated the central role of collaboration, innovation and manufacturing excellence in shaping the future of aerospace.
For ASG Aerospace, the exhibition reinforced the value of long-term customer partnerships, continued investment in advanced manufacturing capabilities and a shared commitment to delivering the precision engineering required to support the next generation of aerospace programmes.
